UvA Social Sciences once again top QS Rankings

Once again this year, social and behavioural sciences at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) achieved top positions in the QS Ranking by Subject.

Communication Science has been ranked 10th worldwide, Psychology 16th, Geography, Planning & International Development Studies 17th and Sociology 18th. Each of these disciplines moreover ranked first among all universities on the European continent.

At 44th on the list, Political Science came in second in the Netherlands, while Child Development and Education placed an international 51-100, making it the best in the country.

This marks the fifth year in a row that the UvA has topped the list of Dutch universities in the QS World University Rankings. Overall, the UvA has climbed 50th in the worldwide ranking, up from 58th last year.
