Many of our studies take place at the Family lab of the University of Amsterdam. The lab is located in the center of Amsterdam, close to the ARTIS zoo, and it is part of the L building of Roeterseiland campus at Nieuwe Achtergracht 129.

What does a lab visit look like?

When you and your baby or child arrive at the Family lab, you will be welcomed by one of the research assistants. They speak Dutch and English. In the waiting room, over coffee or tea. She will explain more about the study and about what you are going to do in the lab with your baby or child. Your baby/child can meanwhile play in our play area in the same room or stay with you.

When you and your baby/child are ready to start the lab visit, you will all go to the Green room. You will do a few fun tasks with your baby/child there, with the instructions of the research assistant. At the end, your child and/or you will receive a gift and/or a voucher. Families like coming to our lab and we hope you will have a fun experience, too!
