Annabeth Groenman is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences at the University of Amsterdam, where she leads research in the Programme Group: Preventive Youth Care. Her research centers on developmental psychopathology, with a current focus on ADHD in women and behavioral parent training programs in ADHD. She used diverse research methods including individual participant data meta analysis, aggregated data meta analysis, ecological momentary assessment, randomized controlled trials, and qualitative methods.
Annabeth Groenman began her academic career in 2010 as a PhD student at Radboud University Medical Center, where she completed her dissertation in 2015 on substance use disorders in ADHD. She subsequently held postdoctoral positions at VU University Amsterdam and the University Medical Center Groningen before joining the psychology department at the University of Amsterdam in September 2018 and transferring to the research institute of child development and education in September 2021.
I am part of the research consortium PAINT. In this consortium we work with the VU university, Accare, UvA and KU Leuven to investigate Psychosocial Adhd and behavioral problems INTerventions.
I have been teaching since 2008 at the VU university, and University of Amsterdam. Since 2008 I had numerous roles, from tutorial teacher to course coordinator. I also taught to a variety of audiences, from first year bachelor level students to professionals in the field of medicine and psychology.
