Marrit van de Guchte is an assistant professor in foreign language pedagogy and teacher trainer at the Graduate School of Child Development and Education of the University of Amsterdam. She holds a PhD in Educational Sciences of the University of Amsterdam. Her research interests are language development through task-based language teaching (TBLT), language education and technology, vocabulary instruction and communicative grammar teaching. She is one of the founders of the Amsterdam Lab for Language Education and Technology (ALLET) and host of the podcast Taal Gewoon Doen!, a podcast for language teachers. As a teacher educator, educational researcher, and former teacher of German in secundary education, she tries to construct bridges between research and educational practice, and is committed to making a contribution to language teaching in the 21st century.
The Pluridentities Project is an international, interdisciplinary project funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2024 program. Within this project, researchers from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, KU Leuven, the University of Amsterdam, Universidad de Córdoba, the University of Aruba, and the University of Gothenburg will collaborate to understand how multilingual approaches in education can be encouraged and promoted.
